Mental Health Promotion Program

Mandate:

Our mental health promotion department is responsible to initiate, coordinate and/or facilitate educational activities designed to improve attitudes towards mental illness, promote mental health and prevent mental illness.

Program Objectives:

• To raise public awareness on various mental health issues, including suicide prevention.
• To work with other agencies and/or services to coordinate public education materials/messages.
• To promote the use of our lending library and of community resources.
• To establish a self sustaining health promotion program.

Funding Sources:

Mental Health Promotion is not a Ministry of Health and Long Term Care funded program, therefore we rely on United Way / Centraide (SDG / PR) Funding, Subway Franchise (Pascal, Jacques & Christian Brunet, owners) community donations, fund raising events, and revenues from workshops to sustain this program.
