Making Mental Health Matter in the Workplace
This Mental Health Promotion Program (MHPP) addresses mental health issues within the workplace environment. Various mental health topics can be presented and are designed to facilitate discussion on workplace issues.

6 million (1 in 5) Canadians experience diagnosable mental illness 22% of Ontarians have experienced a mental health problem 3% of our population are likely to live with a serious mental illness 1 in 10 people have depression at some point in their life Almost 4,000 Canadians commit suicide each year
How does the program work?
CMHA works with you and your staff to:
Build commitment in making mental health matter in your organization Conduct an interest or needs assessment to determine your workforces mental health training needs Prepare a plan of action Facilitate activities: training sessions, display, information distribution Conduct a follow-up and review as needed CMHA offers numerous public education workshops intended to provide information, awareness and skill development to those who take part.
